As Product Line Manager, Motorcycles and bLU cRU, you will be actively involved with all aspects of Yamaha motorcycles including product planning, sales strategy, program creation & implementation. You will manage Yamaha’s racing efforts including the growth of our bLU cRU community, while providing direction for motorcycle marketing, product training and accessory development.
Your primary objective is to lead all motorcycle and bLU cRU initiatives from end to end across the organization and drive growth for this category.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with YMC and other Yamaha distributors on an ongoing basis during new model development. Participate in product validation, marketing planning and execution of new models.
- Perform specific market research, analysis and reports which includes detailed competitive analysis of pricing and features & benefits that supports the positioning of our current & new models.
- Develop a high level of product knowledge and market information that can assist in the positioning of key models. Prepare and present educational training materials for Dealers, Field Staff and media that support new product introductions.
- Implement Territory Strategic Planning (TSP) to maximize dealer engagement and expand market presence. Develop dealer development targets to ensure clear direction to National Field Manager.
- Assist in building sales strategies to complement Yamaha’s corporate objectives.
- Focus on sustainable profitability by reducing promotional expense and adding value to Yamaha ownership.
- Develop strategy, create budget, and implement Yamaha’s corporate racing programs and stakeholder relationships.
- Build and refine annual bLU cRU outreach programs including customer communication schedules, membership development, annual event scheduling and activations.
- Support and direct Marketing Coordinators at various Media & PR Events, Consumer shows, and Content Creation as required.
- Work directly with Parts & Accessories Development to advance the selection of key accessories to ensure availability at time of launch. Closely integrate Genuine Yamaha Racing Technology parts and accessories into the bLU cRU customer journey.
- Develop and create all motorcycle sales programs (Wholesale & Retail) to ensure target and profitability achievement.

Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements
- Degree/Diploma: Post-secondary, university preferred
- Program of Study: Sales, marketing, business related
- Years of Experience: Minimum 10+ years
- Type of Experience: Sales & Marketing, Motorcycle & Racing Competition
Skills & Abilities
- In depth market and riding experience, industry and technical knowledge and relationships
- Strategic self-starter with strong program management skills
- Ability to lead change and act as a change agent
- Ability to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence both internal and external
- Strong business and financial acumen; develops and manages budgets responsibly; demonstrates ability to read and interpret financial and sales data
- Strategic planning and sales skills and the ability to work across departments to achieve objectives
