Is an invitation needed to participate in the demo rides?

Invitations are not necessary to participate in a Yamaha Power Tour Demo Ride. All interested parties are welcome. You will require a valid Driver's License or Snow Vehicle Operator's License to demo ride one of our sleds. We suggest you see schedule on this site or contact your supporting dealer for exact times.

My friend rides a competitor's product... Can they still attend?

The Yamaha Power Tour Demo Rides are an opportunity for Yamaha riders, and owners of other equipment to come and find out for themselves what all the talk is about. All responsible SM enthusiasts are welcome.

Can my 8 year old daughter ride with me?

Certainly but any passengers under the age of 18 must:

  • Be accompanied by their parent
  • Have proper fitting apparel
  • Have a separate waiver signed (by a parent). Sorry written permission from an absent parent is not acceptable
  • Be comfortable and not cause any hazard to others on the ride
  • Ride as a passenger only on a machine properly equipped to do so (2-up sled only)

I've been sledding for a long time, but just got my license... Can I still participate?

You are certainly welcome to attend our Power Tour Demo Days, and enjoy the day's activities. You require a valid Driver's License or Snow Vehicle Operator's License to participate in any demo ride. Some machines may not be suitable for a novice operator in a group ride. The staff will assist you with proper selection of a suitable sled.

What if it the weather is not appropriate for a good ride (rain, storm, etc)?

On behalf of Mother Nature, we are sorry for any inconvenience, but all activities are subject to change or cancellation dependant on the weather. Please check with your supporting dealer the day prior to confirm that the demo rides are still being conducted.

Is there a rain date?

Sorry. Because of our continuing schedule and other obligations we will not be able to reschedule. But check with staff and your local dealers, there are always opportunities for you to participate in other activities at the local dealer level.

What Snowmobiles are available for me to demo?

This is just a sampling of the sleds that we have arranged to be available for demonstration. The quantity and model of sleds may change depending availability and other factors beyond our control.

  • Sidewinder
  • Viper
  • Apex
  • Vector
  • Venture GT
  • Phazer
Exact model, track and colour may vary from stop to stop.

I believe helmets, etc hinder my ability to control my sled. Do I have to wear full gear?

Yamaha promotes the joys of life and the free—spirited thrill and experience that is snowmobiling in Canada. And that's why it's important for all of us to do our part as responsible SM operators. We will ask that you help us set an example to others in attendance and the spectators watching our day's events.

We ask that you:

  • Wear a sturdy jacket or vest
  • Gloves
  • Boots
  • A Tek Vest
  • DOT-Approved Helmet (or European equivalent; ECE, BCE, BSI)

  • All activities are weather dependant and Yamaha reserves the right to cancel any or all activities.
  • Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. reserves the right to refuse participation to any person(s) without any notice.
  • Yamaha has a 'Zero Tolerance' position with respect to alcohol, and reserves the right to refuse a ride to anyone suspected of having consumed any alcohol.
